The latest concept for
continuous blending system
is to use flat bottom continuous
blending silo to blend dry,
pulverized free flowing
materials on a continuous
basis using the maximum
power of gravity force and
minimizing the need of high
rate of fluidisation for
low power consumption. Principally
the silo is divided in three
distinct regions where material
is withdrawn from each region
at varying rates.
Aeration is used to selectively
withdraw material from different
sectors resulting in low
specific power consumption,
as only few sectors are
aerated at any given time.
This silo is ideally suitable
for new projects as well
as for retrofit silos with
poor blending system or
for conversion of batch
blending silo system into
Continuous Blending Silo.
