Pond Ash Drying System

With the availability of Pond Ash in abundance and competition in getting Dry Ash, the need for Drying and Utilising Pond Ash is inevitable.

We offer Suitable Drying System for the Pond Ash Drying. There are 2 methods of drying pond ash i.e either by Flash drier or Rapid Mixer Dryer. The Heat required for the drying can be availed from excess Hot air from a plant or can be generated by dedicated hot air generators. For only Grinding units, where the hot gas is not available, we have developed fluidised bed hot air generators, which can use crushed coal and thereby avoid complete coal mill circuit resulting lesser maintenance and lower power consumption.

Flash Dryer is best suited for the cost effective drying of Wet Pond Ash. The Flash Dryer is a Vertical Shaft with a suitable ventury system, in which the material is suspended in hot air stream for a quick and effective heat transfer between the Hot gases and the Pond Ash. A Bag house of suitable capacity is provided at outlet of drier. The Induced draft fan of bag house creates negative pressure in drier due to which dried material is collected in Bag house. Since there are no moving parts in the Flash Dryer except for the Wet material dispersing equipment and dry material collecting equipment, the dependability of a Flash Dryer for a higher capacity is very good. The Capacity range of the Flash Dryer is very wide and can range from 20 TPH to 100 TPH (On wet Basis) in single unit. The Dried Pond Ash is collected in a Bin and further transported Ash Silo for which either Dense Phase conveying or Pneumatic Screw Pump are used.
